After missing ten games with a sore shoulderJon Jay was in the mix of things, scoring three runs and went 1 for 3 with 2 walks. He also stole a base.
Bryan Anderson went 1 for 3 with 2 walks.
Joe Mather has is tapering off a bit after his hot April. He went 0 for 5 with a K and left 5 runners on base. He also had 2 errors, one fielding the other throwing. That’s a bad day.
Tyler Greene went 2 for 5 with 3 K’s.
Diminutive outfielder Sean Danielson (5′8″, 165) is hitting .432 (.380 GPA) in 44 at bats. He went 2 for 5 with a walk. According to firstinning.com, 36% of his batted balls are liners. Danielson started the season playing in Palm Beach.
Cory Rauschenberger threw 6 innings of 2 hit ball, which sounds great and all, but he walked 5 and struck out just 2. He also hit to batters. He did however have a nifty GB/FB ratio of 13-3.
Jason Motte (not Chris Perez, interestingly) saved the game, going 2.1 innings and struck out 2 to 2 hits. His other 5 outs all came on the ground.
Palm Beach was off today.
