FGC - 7 at bats … really? Have you watched his swing? It certainly looks terrible. Swing mechanics don’t tell the whole story (see Encarnacion, Juan) but seriously … 7 at bats?

btw, ben revere is 4-7 with a double, a triple and a pair of walks so far in his pro career. i’m not saying he wasn’t an overdraft, but that swing seems to be working fine so far.

I think you’re right; it is the elbow that’s catching me with Alderson, but damn if it doesn’t catch me every single time.

I really want to give Mike Radcliff the benifit of the doubt here becuase he’s got a pretty good track record but good lord I hate that Revere pick. At least Kozma is projected to stay at SS.

On your comments:

RE: Alderson—Spot on. That’s what makes him tough to pick up, I thought.
I heard a scout once say this about that type of pitcher. “He’s all elbows and a..holes.” All that stuff coming at you, how are you supposed to pick up the ball?

RE: Revere—yeah, I was hard on Kozma. But Kozma’s swing is beautiful compared to Revere. It looks like Revere tries to not rotate with his hips….I just can’t keep commenting on how bad that is…

RE:Schmidt—I just don’t get the hype. Porcello? I do…
