Now im a firm believer that theres no way in hell the Cards will sign Russell, one because he cost to much, two because the Cards would rather waste money of people like Maroth, Wells, etc which is just so smart /sarcasm. And at Batavia he only caught one full game. I wonder if they're going to leave him there or continue to shift him around (1B, DH, LF). I'm concerned that if they don't let him play back there most days, he won't develop the necessary skills. Maybe it's because they don't think he can be an everyday backstop, but want him to be available Eli Marrero-style. He played about 2/3 of his games this year in college at catcher.
