big red. very astute of you to bring that up. marti is a forgotten man, thus the marti watch on the sidebar. even i totally spaced him out. he’s got a nice OPS and shown good plate discipline, something he lacked in last year. i just wonder what park factors, strength of competition it is down there. i have questions on whether it’s real AAA caliber but I dunno. and you would think in mexico with the heat and all, balls would be flying.

Rotation of Garcia, Herron, Ottavino, Clay Mortensen and P.J. Walters…Degerman is just too gimmicky for me. Daniels is a nice pick here, boggs not a big pick either. Mort I’m probably too high on, just like what i’ve seen so far and he’s helped by his high draft status. maybe i’ve lost my mind here. jess todd could fit here too. i’m still pretty high on shaun garceau as well.

as for the pen, todd may fit there, too. i’m with you all the way, otherwise.

Gotta go with Walters over Deggerman or Danials. “fun to watch” doesn’t get you on my all star team!

McClellen MUST be in your bullpen! Take out Sillman - if you’re going to punish Jay and Greene for being injured than Sillman can’t make it either. I’d also put Gregerson in over Scherer. Gregerson has better numbers accross the board including 0 homers to 5 given up by Scherer. Heck, I might take Mura over Scherer.

I don’t know if I put him ahead of Ankiel but Shorey needs consideration. He doesn’t get much hype but he’s 22 y.o, in his first full season, playing in AA after skipping high A and he’s got an .856 OPS.

You should probably have Mather in left and Ankiel in right. Mather is supposed to be solid in the outfield, but I am sure he doesn’t have an arm close to Ankiel’s to man right field.

I would also likely place Jose Martinez in at the 2B position and place either Greene or Kozma in at SS(we’ll see about the highly-touted Dognnt and Romulo Ruiz).

I have some hopes for Hoffpaiur, but if his offensive production doesn’t prove long-lasting, his defense will not likely keep him in the majors, while Martinez’s defense is said to be stellar, and his bat should come along, now that he is out of the FSL.

P.S. Edgar Lara is looking good as a potential OF of the future, leading the GCL in HRs currently. Although I obviously wouldn’t put him in the list yet.
