• Amaury Marti Watch

Amaury Marti is currently hitting .424/.509/.633 in 39 games for the Mexican Red Devils of the Mexican League, also known as Liga de Amaury Cazana. Bud Selig ordered the Cardinals to banish him to there, in fear of the major leagues losing competitive balance.

Amaury also refuses to accept the watch curse. He has the power to curse, and the power to bless.

Daily Prospect Report 9/14/07

Just think, the Cardinals could have been drafting like the Astros for the last few years. I feel bad for whoever takes over in Houston and has to deal with all the Drayton McLane crap.

I’m a huge haunted house fan and mildly tempted to visit the haunting that is scheduled to occur at John O’Donnell Stadium.

An exceedingly detailed breakdown of the Swing Season. And don’t forget to vote for the new name.

Kary Booher makes a similar comparison between the starters that erik made. Tragically his music choice leaves much to be desired as I was never an AC/DC fan.

Troy Cate was designated for assignment as well. Not a real loss here and he’ll probably make it through the waiver process but I am still suspicious that he pitched well until that 35 pitch outing before being reassigned to the minors. In any event, he isn’t a world beater and the difference between him and Randy Flores is minimal.

San Antonio 3, Springfield 2

  • Colby Rasmus went 1-for-4 with a double.
  • Cody Haerther wnet 2-for-3 with a BB.
  • Mark Hamilton went yard.
  • P.J. Walters threw 7 innings allowing 3 runs on 6 hits, 3 BBs and 2 K. All three runs were allowed on a pair of HRs by San Antonio catcher Nick Hundley.
  • Matthew Scherer followed up with 2 scoreless innings allowing 1 hit, a BB and 2K.
