• Amaury Marti Watch

Amaury Marti is currently hitting .424/.509/.633 in 39 games for the Mexican Red Devils of the Mexican League, also known as Liga de Amaury Cazana. Bud Selig ordered the Cardinals to banish him to there, in fear of the major leagues losing competitive balance.

Amaury also refuses to accept the watch curse. He has the power to curse, and the power to bless.

Hamilton to the AFL, Bryan Anderson to Team USA, Colby honored

A few quick updates, per Goold.

Mark Shorey is experiencing issues with his knees, so Mark Hamilton will take his place on the Mesa Solar Sox roster. Good opportunity for Hamilton and the Cardinals here, hopefully he’ll be able to showcase his skills well enough to attract the attention of other teams looking for a 1st baseman or DH. It’s not that I don’t like Hamilton, but there is that Pujols guy ahead of him on the depth chart. Speaking of Pujols, he is having his # retired by the Scottsdale Scorpions.

I may have already mentioned this, but Bryan Anderson’s name is on BA’s depth chart for Team USA. I’m excited for him and all, but Anderson hit just .267/.309/.314 after the All Star break and I think he’s fatigued. I sort of would’ve preferred to see him rest.

BA has their post season all stars, Colby Rasmus their selection for first team all star CF. No other Cardinals made the list, first or second team.
