Maybe it'll work for him, but all I've heard is that he's awful defensively. SD has an opening at 2B. didn’t work for another sibling of a teammate. The Jays wouldn't have taken him if he was moved off now. On the other side, noone else might put a claim in so the Jays could end up with Haerther - off the 40 man - for next season. Poor management no doubt. As to Azru's point on Worrell, I agree completely, this guy has gotten it done all around and relievers are always in high demand so give him a shot and try to create value. The Blue Jays claimed him and can now do the same and Haerther only has to make it past the teams after them in the waiver process. The Cardinals seemed to make the right choices for their 40-man roster. Cavazos was fine as the last man in the bullpen but he's probably never going to be more than that and the Cardinals have better options than him in the minors now. I'd like to see Worrell get a serious look for the bullpen and for analysts to be able to see past his quirky delivery. He's got decent velocity on his pitches and while he's probably always going to struggle somewhat against lefties, there's nothing to say that he can't be an effective reliever just because he has an unusual delivery. I had high hopes for Falk but I am not sure he will ever make it to a major league club full time. Good luck to him if he moves to a new club (and I think he might if he is eligible to). Good moves.
