• Amaury Marti Watch

Amaury Marti is currently hitting .424/.509/.633 in 39 games for the Mexican Red Devils of the Mexican League, also known as Liga de Amaury Cazana. Bud Selig ordered the Cardinals to banish him to there, in fear of the major leagues losing competitive balance.

Amaury also refuses to accept the watch curse. He has the power to curse, and the power to bless.

Haerther back, put on 40 man

Per Derrick Goold, in a weird turn of events, Haerther was DFA’d by the Blue Jays, only to be claimed by the Cardinals. I think he’d have to feel a little weirded out by all this run around. Can’t the Cardinals make up their minds on him? I’m glad they figured out they had made a mistake by trying to sneak him through waivers and fixed it.

His addition fills out the 40 man, so more moves have to follow with the rule 5 upcoming.

  1. Bizarre. I guess that Haerther had to go all the way through the waiver process again when the Blue Jays tried to DFA him. Just a weird scenario.

  2. Hmmm… Wonder if he regrets making those “I’ll show ‘em” comments.

  3. Bet he’s glad he stayed professional and polite and didn’t give any candid interviews after the cardinals originally lost him…

  4. Heck, he’s hardly had time to do any interviews!

That’s definitely a strange turn of events.

    Lol, i missed that one.

Anything that lights a fire under a kids arse is a good thing, imho…

  6. Hopefully Haerther will learn some defensive and a little more hustle this off season.

  7. all i’ve ever heard is he is all hustle. not all glove, but hustle.

  8. Erik,
Warner sat him down late this season for not running out ground balls. He even stated so in the paper. I think a little better hustle in the outfield would help his defense also. A lot balls get by him. This is just my opinion from watching him play at Springfield. I have only missed 1 game the last 2 years, but I am just a fan.
