• Amaury Marti Watch

Amaury Marti is currently hitting .424/.509/.633 in 39 games for the Mexican Red Devils of the Mexican League, also known as Liga de Amaury Cazana. Bud Selig ordered the Cardinals to banish him to there, in fear of the major leagues losing competitive balance.

Amaury also refuses to accept the watch curse. He has the power to curse, and the power to bless.

Prospect profiles-feedback wanted

So far this fall/winter we have looked at:

Tyler Herron

Mark Worrell

Cody Haerther

Mitch Boggs

Tyler Norrick

Allen Craig

Joe Mather

Adam Ottavino

Brad Furnish

Jarrett Hoffpauir

Who would you like to see next? Here is who I would NOT want to do at this time: Steve Hill, Arnoldi Cruz, Deryk Hooker, or anyone else picked in day 2 of the draft. I’d also prefer to do someone who’s played above the GCL/Johnson City/Batavia/levels if possible.  An Eddie Degerman profile is in the works now.

  1. I would like to see profiles on D’Marcus Ingram or Nick Derba.

  2. Donnie Smith
    Edwards
    Webber
    MArtinez
    Dan Nelson
    Schweitzer

It might be interesting to do some comparison profiles between guys who might be fighting for the same job in the organization like Danials and Haberer or Robinson and De Jesus

  3. I am curious about Brandon Buckman and Jose Martinez.

  4. Bryan Anderson
    David Freese

The if they ever get healthy squad…
    Shane Robinson
    John Jay

  5. what about Tyler Greene?

I realize AAA might well be his ceiling, but having seen him play a few times, i’m interested to know what happened, if anything “happened”

  6. Mortensen, Maiques and Hamilton might be some of our more experienced higher ceilings players to consider. Thanks for profiles.

  7. Garceau, Gregerson, Martinez

  8. if some of you read a little closer i said i didn’t want to do any draftees picked on day 2 and players who haven’t played above a ball. so no ingram or derba, etc. sorry. reason being is there just isn’t a lot to say about them, when we know more it’ll be more interesting of a read, imo.

i’ve looked at greene, robinson and hamilton last year, but maybe we’ll revisit them. donnie smith and dan nelson were touched on before, just use the search features on the right sidebar.

webber is a good suggestion. he hasn’t panned out as hoped but still has that nasty sinker.

we’ll do martinez, mortense, webber, maiques for sure and i’ll think abou the others for now. keep suggesting if you wanna and thanks for the response. i’ll interject todd in there too.

  9. P.J. Walters. Would love to see some video of the screwball.

  10. i’d love to get some video of that screwball. i think we may have already profiled him midseason.

  11. Garceau

  12. How about the Brian twins - Barden and Barton? Unless the Day 2 rule excludes Brian #2 (Barton).

  13. Mark Shorey. I like the way he jumped to Double A from low A in only his second season without embarrassing himself. In fact, he looked pretty good at three different levels last year.

  14. I wouldn’t mind seeing David Freese. I don’t know much about him, but from what I understand, he could be taking Craig’s job.

  15. I’ll second a Dan Nelson Prospect Profile. He could be an interesting sleeper given his on base abilities.
Shaun Garceau and Blake King would peak my interest if they aren’t too low of levels for you to do a prospect profile on.
Kyle McClellan would be another good one.

Argh.. did anyone read my post? :)

  18. Elvis

  19. Tyler Norrick

  20. I am not asking for a prospect profile on him, but does anyone know the progress of Josh Wilson? Does he still have a chance to pan out after the injuries? He was moving along nicely until injuries hit him.

  21. jaime garcia

  22. norrick is on the list! that’s like 4 responses where no one read my entire post. if you all want me to ask for feedback, read what i’m saying first! GAAAAAAAAARRRRRR!!!

  23. Er, I thought maybe you could do an update since the last report on Norrick was in November? yeah, that’s it, an update…

  24. Shane Robinson and Jon Edwards

  25. David Freese please

  26. nick stavinhoa
    dennis dove
    eric haberer
    cory rauschenberger
    matthew scherer
    tyler greene
    juan lucena
    jose martinez

    brandon yarbrough
    brandon buckman
    donovan solano
    luke gorsett
    jonathan jay
