Well, it also took his velocity into the 80's and he lost what made him good. He went back to Missouri State this offseason and worked with the Bears coach to get back to what he was. He started throwing 95 again, and shut down the Bears in workouts (a team hitting .333 as a team and averaging 9 runs per game). At this point, I think he's going to ride it out with his old motion and hope it doesn't blow out. Good luck Bob! Watched Furnish pitch effectively and Allen Craig smoke a liner in the AA game before switching bleachers to AAA. Was hoping to see Craig field a ball but it didn't happen while I was watching. Anderson looked just fine blocking balls behind the plate. Jumped over to the AAA game when Freese and Mather were on deck. Boggs looked spectacular. The Marlins prospects looked helpless. Had a John Gall sighting. The Martinez home run was pulled down the line... I didn't have a good view of it through the dugout roof. I left for lunch and the stadium before Motte and Worrell pitched, dangit. And the day before, I got to talk to Jameson Maj for a few minutes. He'll be assigned to extended to start the year--I told him he's got fans out there. I was at the back fields for these games.
