One of the most puzzling pitchers I've ever seen. Boo Gary Daley.

I'm liking that Hoffpauir is continuing his on base ways, and showing that doubles power, as alluded to. Somewhere along the way, I've developed an strong interest in seeing him succeed. It might be partly because he's part of that dreadful 2004 class. Somebody has to make it, damnit! Mather and Rasmus are doing quite well too. Always nice to have the guys knocking on the door making a push. As for Boggs, my biggest worry hasn't been the K rates. I've just never been able to reconcile who a guy that has good stuff can give up as many hits as he does. I've not put as much hope in him as most everyone else seems to for that reason. But 3 hits in 6 innings? Maybe others are a little more in tune about Boggs than I am - certainly an impressive start at least. Gosh, Daley has some embarassing moments, doesn't he? I'm scared to death what he might do next time out after he has had a few days to think about this. Well the guys in AAA sound like they are living up to expectation early. Pham - was really looking forward to seeing him because of all the talk ... but he struck out twice and the hit he got could have been mistaken for an error ... he did make a stud of a play around the 409 mark at center Hill - Very discipline at the plate... Cant wait to hear about him in a year or two Buckman - TALL TALL TALL wow this kid just looks like hes going to be great Cruz - EXTREMLY IMPRESSIVE what a game for this kid ... got a couple of hits and made a snag at second that blow everyone in the stadiums mind Solano - WOW what a player ... he was playing second tonight which i found weird ... but hey it paid off made 2 very impressive plays and he also shows alot of discipline at the plate Garcia - Heard it was his first game playin to I gave him a pass for his first game gitters Marmol - Incredible defense and what an ARM WOW!!! made a sportscenter like play that its been a while since I have seen something like that ... look like something from back in Ozzie Smith days ... and he needs more AB's to become a better hitter.. oh and great speed too Last but not Least PITCHERS Dickson - had great control... and great speed... when he got hit on its like he falls apart quick... martinez had to come settle him down a couple of times but if he can control that ... he had pretty good stuff tonight.... Daley - Well what can I say ... first time in my life i ever seen 3 batter in a row get hit ... Herron - great speed ... a little wild.. but overall I think he did a good job holding them to 1 run Hope this was helpful and not to long ... and if it was sorry hello … i was at the palm beach game tonight and i must say … wow WHAT A TEAM …. even though they lost … the are pretty good from what i saw…. anyways here are my thoughts… i wrote some notes on just about every player =)

When your 21 and your walking 4 or 5 guys a game...its not all that likely to change when you start facing better competition. Walks also turn 6 or 7 inning college starters into short relievers b/c they throw 20+ pitches an inning. Eager and Marmol picks were almost like...its been a long first day of the draft...lets just let Dewitt's nephew draw names out of a hit for the last 2 rounds:) Those Cal Poly picks were horrible….someone needs to email Luhnow and tell him to start paying attention to BB per 9.

Maybe they should just quit scouting that school. Daley seems like a lost cause at this point. Bad night for two ex-Cal Poly guys. Maybe they should just quit scouting that school.
