Besides they are all having a good time. :) Not sure if PB would make a move right now, until mid season, then they may start the shuffle, after the draft, rookie and ss begins.

Learn to pitch while getting rocked(if he does get rocked). It rained on and off but they got the game in. It was a really crappy ending as Amaury Marti (he doesn't do push ups, he pushes the earth down) had the winning runner nailed at the plate but Gabe Johnson couldn't secure the throw in his glove to submit the tag. The conditions were bad so I'm sure it was slippery. Anyway, I tried to pay as much attention as I could but we were out in the right field bleachers so we were ducking in and out of cover because of rain and drinking heavily (minor leauge beer prices are a thing of beauty). Colby looked good, I clearly remember 3 of his 5 PA's. 1st: Swung at the first pitch fouled it off to the left, 2nd pitch absolutely roped down the right field line just foul, and of course 3rd pitch swing and a miss (Looked to be 2 seemer/cutter down in the zone). 2nd: works the count 2-0 and rips a single through 1st/2nd gap. Beautiful swing. I'm sure the comparison has been made but he reminds me a lot of sizemore. 3rd: 5 pitch walk, runners were on so they pitched around him. Freese: Handles the bat well, stood out to me. Seemed to be adequate defensively. Marti: All the stories are true, he struck out swinging in the second inning and it blew my hat off all the way out in the bleachers. Parisi: Fastball got up to 92-93 . Looked good, but nothing spectacular. I agree with others as he may be a good back end of the rotation guy. Thats about all I remember from the game, but I HAVE to tell you a side story. There was absolutely no one there because of the weather. Every couple innings my buddies and I would step outside the gate by the bleachers to have a cigarette. Well, my buddy took a liking to the girl watching the gate and was talking to her most of the game. As we were all talking one of the employees came over to us and asked if one of us wanted to shoot off the hot dog gun between innnings because the guy who does it was a no show, i was like YES! So, I'm riding around the field in a golf cart on the brink of extreme inebriation, decked out in cardinal gear shooting off hot dogs. It's hilarious how psyched people get as you drive by. Also, I invited several members of the memphis bullpen to come out to the local watering hole after the game and talk baseball but I got the stink eye from Mark Worrell. Uncle Rico was hanging out by the bullpen, I thanked him for his services in the bigs. He nodded in approval. That's my story fellas, fun night at the ballpark. Especially guys like Todd that aren't repeating a level. Buck:

It may be about time to move him up to Springfield and Garcia up to Memphis. High A is proving to be a cake walk for Todd. His numbers are insane. I would really like to move McCormick or Furnish up because they are older, but Todd is just dominating and he needs a challenge. McCormick is also doing pretty well outside of the walks. Tough call on who moves up. Probably McCormick just because of age but can you send another Ottavino type pitcher to Springfield when their bullpen is so weak? It really is amazing how well all of the young pitchers are doing. Just about every one of the high draft picks are off to a great start outside of Ottavino. I am getting ready to leave Springfield to get into the real world and also wanted to catch a game before Jamie Garcia goes to AAA. Is there a way of finding out when he will make starts at Hammons Field or is it less structured than that? Thanks and keep up the excellent work. Hey guys love the site.
