I will admit, I’ve tried very hard to be a bit more to the point over there than I have been in the past at VEB and the comment section ’round here.

Was at the Springfield Cards game last night. Not quite sure why Daniels was pulled early, as nothing was announced re: an injury. He wasn’t particularly sharp, but had only given up 2 hits and wasn’t in a great deal of trouble when he was pulled.

Robinson looked good… he was smaller than I expected. Anderson looked pretty decent behind the plate, although I didn’t get to see him trying to throw out a runner. At the plate he worked the pitchers and seemed to have a real approach with his at-bats. He took good swings against both rightys and leftys, and drove the ball. His three run double was a rope.

rb, i like your top 5 as that is the exact same as mine, but i don’t think there is any way the reds take hosmer. they have votto as you mentioned, but jocketty is now their GM and he doesn’t hand out the kind of bonus in the draft that it will take to sign hosmer. if they want a hitter, i think it is gordon beckham.

i have also had alonso going to the marlins for a long time, but i am starting to think they will take smoak. i haven’t heard of him asking for over slot, and i think he has established himself as clearly better than alonso at this point. it may be hard to pass on the local guy, but i think the talent difference may be too great.

Red Baron–I really, really liked your series so far, was going to cross ref it once the 11-15 go up. I had no idea that it was you, you were so…less rambl-y I didn’t know you had it in ya.
