Wow. Tanner Scheppers. Gutsy move. I like it a lot.

Amaury Marti is currently hitting .424/.509/.633 in 39 games for the Mexican Red Devils of the Mexican League, also known as Liga de Amaury Cazana. Bud Selig ordered the Cardinals to banish him to there, in fear of the major leagues losing competitive balance.
Amaury also refuses to accept the watch curse. He has the power to curse, and the power to bless.

Yep, these Buccos are letting the pitchers suffer major injuries before drafting them instead of after.
Brewers got Lenny Dykstra’s son Cutter. I wonder if Tyler Henley is confused as to why he’s never met his brother.
P.S. Mehlville still available and Cards coming up. If the Cards don’t take him there it pretty much tells me that he will be going to some Duke v UNC basketball games next year.
I like it too. Wish the Cards would have went after him at 39. If he is still injured in 2 months oh well, you get the exact same pick next year, no big deal. Just got to have patience.
Chris I wouldn’t be sure about that. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Angels pick and sign Melville since they haven’t had a pick yet.
And Shane Peterson it is, a good hitter.
Peterson’s stance reminds me of Jack Clarks with the way he holds the bat. Looks to me like he may have to rework that swing if he’s going to hit for power. To me this is almost a pick with some upside as he has the potential to hit for power. I think he could probably hit for a decent average at Palm Beach now. I actually kind of really like this pick. The Cards could use some OFs that aren’t slap hitters and Peterson could develop into some punch.
Love the Buccos - Hopefully they take Melville in the 3rd and give the middle finger to everyone. I still think if a team spent $0 on scouting the draft and used consensus best picks they would spend more but have a helluva good farm…
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Vasquez pick. He reminds scouts of a slightly smaller Nomar. He’s got a cannon for an arm and has power now. The part I love is that he has shown the ability to hit for power with a wood bat.
He is what Tyler Greene was hoped to be. Tyler might as well pack his bags. I’m not sure where he fits in the organization next year.
Vasquez should be an easy sign apparently as he doesn’t like the books. I can’t wait to see what he can do in short season.
